Ting Gong

Ting Gong graduated from McGill University in 2013 and started her career in the rheumatology program of Constance-Lethbridge Rehabilitation Center. Throughout her career, she has attended multiple conferences given by different arthritis associations. Aside from conventional physiotherapy, Ms. Gong also specializes in vestibular rehabilitation to better serve clients who present with vertigo from either their autoimmune conditions or other causes such as post falls.

Self-management strategies

During this presentation, daily challenges you may experience due to your rheumatic condition will be discussed in the perspective of occupational therapy and physical therapy. With occupational therapy, you will be able to learn different strategies to better protect your joints and compensate any functional difficulties with the use of self-management techniques. With physical therapy, you will be able to have a better understanding of the different types of exercises appropriate for you.
